Chhatbir zoo Mohali is house for wild animals. founded in 1970 and was inaugurated by Punjab governor Mr. Mahendra chaudhary in 1977. It is spread in 202 hectares. Animals are quite healthy. 5S of the Zoo is well maintained, all required information are placed on proper locations. Electrical cart facility is available Rs. 500 for 6 seater and Rs. 1000 for 12 seater. Ticket per person for adult is Rs.100 for Children is Rs. 50 per child

You have to walk 5km on feet for complete journey of the Zoo.
Chatt ( village name) Bir (forest) was initially hunting ground of the Patiala maharaja for their entertainment . In 1970 this forest was converted into Zoological park and some animals transferred from Assam zoo that is why you feel that you are walking through the forest when you visit this place. Lion safari and deer safari is major attraction of this zoo. With passing time this zoo become biggest and best zoo in the Northern India
