You should pay attention to this when washing and drying silk blankets.

WASHING

1. observe care labelling
2. check for damage
3. observe the capacity of the washing machine
4. use liquid silk detergent or mild detergent
5. do not use fabric softener/soap solution
6. select wool washing program (not silk washing program, because not suitable!)
7. temperature recommendation: 30 °C
8. Select the spin cycle at 800 rpm.

DRY
--------------------
1. not suitable for tumble dryers
2. please do not dry on the heating or in the blazing sun
2. carefully pull damp into shape
3. dry as large an area as possible in a horizontal position
4. allow the blanket to dry thoroughly before covering it with the fabric

A large part of the moisture is transferred from the body to the duvet overnight.
Therefore you should shake and ventilate your silk blanket regularly.

Silk is a sensitive natural material. In order to maintain its temperature and moisture regulating properties, you should only wash your silk blanket in exceptional cases.
