Still single-handed or so I (Louise) thought, as Dave has to work to bring home the pennies. I try to explain why the figure of three locks, when there is actually only two, is called "the figure of three locks". This is the reason as far as I know it and it's what hearsay says and everyone know's that's gospel. As I set the lock, the heavens open, which is just typical. I'm still hopeful that this is just your typical English Shower, which it is, but it lasts longer than I'd hoped and I get completely drenched. Piggin Nora!!

By definition a gongoozler is an idle spectator which I totally and wholeheartedly disagree with. I believe boating and mainly locking is definitely an audience participation sport. Is Narrowboatiing a sport? Anyway if you're going to stare, I will gladly put you to work and we can all enjoy this, my apparent single-handed Narrowboating experience. In all seriousness a big thank you to Lottie, Tilly, and Richard from Narrowboat Syd and Daniel and Oliver, the keen cyclist. I hope you enjoyed locking and learning. I hope I didn't make you work too hard or be to schooly (just made that word up), I probably did but it was a big help, a big big help. Thank you also to the man, you know who you are.
