In June 2022, our sister organization, POW Action Fund, along with the POW Bike team, representing the POW Athlete Alliance, arrived in Washington D.C. to meet with both Democrat and Republican lawmakers to discuss climate solutions and priorities ahead of the 2022 Midterms in November.

Our crew of 18 outdoor community leaders met with 16 lawmakers and administrators (10 Republicans and 6 Democrats), to move the needle on an updated electric grid, access to electric vehicles, and clean energy jobs. There is nobody better to take on the most epic challenge facing our modern world than those who spend their lives living in the extremes of our natural world.

POW Action Fund wasn’t on Capitol Hill to have the easy conversations. Instead, the team met with lawmakers across political identities, fostering collaborative working relationships through a common love for the outdoors. We're stoked to report that all these conversations were highly productive and the team left excited and energized, looking ahead to the midterm elections.
