Welcome to the PlantXperience. We breed amongst others Cyclamen, Primula, Ranunculus and Campanula.

Schoneveld offers more value on several levels, strong genetics is of course the core. Within our Schoneveld series we missed a large-flowered series which is suitable for warm areas. We have the XL and the Mammoth as large flowered, but this one is more suitable for later in the autumn from flowering beginning of October in warm areas. So a few years ago we started putting our old lines and hybrids in Israel. And there we went looking for the right genetics together with two Israelian growers. And the results that came from it we tested further in Italy. And that is how we came to the Leopardo series.

Breeding in general:
Within our series genetic compactness comes first. We also want that the grower can make a beautiful, sustainable product with as less growth regulators and chemicals as possible. And last years we are also busy testing the shelf life of the products. Both indoors and outdoors. So, in that way you can make a product for the consumer which they can enjoy longer.

Growing Support:
Well, growing support means to Ton Koers… every seed that leaves our company, we all want to grow it to such a plant. And that means we give support at both the young plant grower, so our customers, and the grower.

We go on the road to take a look, so that they get the best germination power of every seed. The highest usable numbers and a beautiful, fixed, good plant. So that in the end it can be potted at the grower and can grow easily. So taking care that the quality gets as high as possible.

We talk with the grower, the young plant grower, but between that are the representatives. They are also very important for us because they give the support from our customer to the grower. And we try to support them as much as possible with extra information about breeding, products. So they can actually give the best advice from them to the grower. And we try to draw more and more attention to that the coming time.

Tips for people who want to set up arrangements at home?
The Cyclamen is a plant which absorbs water from below. And because of that I chose to put it on a water plate and not in earth. Because in the unlikely event that you have given too little water and they hang a bit limp you can take them out easily and plunge them in a bucket of water and put them back. So they can catch up again.
