Fed Square is the gateway to Melbourne’s arts precinct – and as Melbourne’s public square it is the civic, cultural and community heart of the city.

Melbourne’s premier meeting place, tourist destination and venue for thousands of events a year, Fed Square hosts cultural, food and arts festivals and the famous Big Screen screens big sporting matches and free films in summer.

Fed Square is the place where the people of Melbourne gather for the major moments-that-matter.

The Square is also home to three of Victoria’s major cultural institutions: ACMI – Australia’s Museum of Screen Culture, the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, as well as a diverse range of food and beverage outlets.

Since opening in 2002, Melbourne’s Fed Square has seen more than 110 million visits.
