Locals' response to Supreme Court's landmark alimony ruling for Muslim women

The Supreme Court ruled Section 125 of the CrPC applies universally to women, including those who are divorced under Muslim law. The Supreme Court ruled that divorced Muslim women have the right to claim financial support from their husbands. The Apex Court emphasised the importance of acknowledging the contributions and sacrifices of homemakers. Muslim Community responded to SC’s decision that allows divorced Muslim women to receive alimony from their husbands.
