Welcome to a sneak peak of Curious Expedition 2 Version 3.0 - Shores of Taishi DLC! Curious Expedition 2 is a sequel to the hugely popular Curious Expedition with updated graphics and animation, enhanced gameplay where every decision can make or break the party and a larger focus on resource management through each individual foray into the unknown.

In this special preview we take an existing group I currently have in story mode to the new Mystical Shores island where we try to show off as much new content as we can! (Without dying of course... maybe.) We encounter the ninja-like Tanuki, spin around on some tornado teleports and, (as is tradition) anger the local Peacock Tribe! This content is available from the start of a new game too, either while playing through the campaign or in director mode which means there are plenty of chances to discover everything there is to the second DLC content update released by Maschinen-Mensch.

So join me as we take our first tentative steps in to the misty mystical island as we explore the Shores of Taishi DLC for Curious Expedition 2!


Curious Expedition 2 Gameplay Overview -

Curious Expedition 2 is a turn-based narrative roguelike that requires players to manage their resources and party members to keep insanity at bay and find glory.

A grand discovery has been made: mysterious islands have begun to appear and vanish from the oceans as if by magic. The great Explorer Clubs are funding expeditions to these strange islands to bring treasures back for the 1889 World's Fair in Paris. Are you bold enough to join the adventure?

Shores of Taishi Update -

Shores of Taishi adds a bounty of new content to the mysterious lands of Curious Expedition 2. A new island type, Celestial Shores, comes with a completely new set of tiles, a new game mechanic related to teleporting between islets and the new Peacock Tribe. Shores of Taishi will allow players to recruit six new characters to their party, including Red Panda, Tanuki, Ghost Catcher and Warrior Peacock. That’s not all: with six new enemy types, four new locations, six new pieces of equipment, seven new Sanity Items, seven new Trophies and four new levels to unlock, there’s plenty of new content to get stuck into.

Once the DLC is activated it will expand possibilities across the entire game, both in Campaign Mode and Director Mode.

7 new Trophies: Tanuki Testicles, Dangkang Tusk, Ushi-Oni Leg, Red Panda Fur, Phoenix Ashes, Spectral Tiger Pelt, Giant Spectral Snake Skin

4 new Levels to unlock at the Taishi Academy Explorer Club in Paris, giving access to 1 Recruitable character and 3 pieces of Equipment
