SUMMARY
Al-Fatiha literally means The Opening. It is the first Surah of the Quran and is considered its ‘greatest surah’ and some scholars considers it to be a summary of the whole Quran. Its seven verses are regularly recited at the start of daily prayers. It has other names such as the Mother of the Book, The Cure, The Commendation, and others.
