The way that Curahee's 3 miles up and 3 miles down is depicted on Band of Brothers isn't quite the way it looks in real life. The show depicts the men of Easy Company touching a rock at the top of the mountain but in reality, there's no rock at all on the summit. This is what the men of Easy would have touched to signify that they'd made it to the top.
