President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signs into law the General Appropriations Act (GAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025, marking a pivotal moment in the Administration’s commitment to economic growth and social development during a ceremony at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañan Palace on December 30, 2024.

Republic Act (RA) No. 12116, titled ‘An Act Appropriating Funds for the Operation of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines from January 1 to December 31, 2025,’ has undergone careful and meticulous review to ensure alignment with the Administration’s objectives in achieving the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028.

The 2025 National Budget underscores the Administration’s commitment to social services, education and health, while also addressing the critical needs for infrastructure development and agricultural support.

Moreover, this measure prioritizes green investment and disaster preparedness, aiming to enhance resilience against natural calamities.

The signing of the 2025 National Budget represents a significant step forward in reaffirming the Administration’s commitment to building a ‘Bagong Pilipinas.’
