For the bus journey to Nandi Hills I arrived at the newly constructed and very nicely maintained Chikkaballapur Ksrtc bus stand.

My bus to Nandi Hills is at 12 o'clock from here.

Bus timings for Nandi Hills are
From Chikkaballapur to Nandi Hills :
7.40 AM, 10.00 AM, 12.00 PM, 2.00 PM and 4.00 PM.

From Nandhi Hills to Chikkaballapur
830 am, 11.00 am, 1.00 pm, 3.00 pm, 5.00 pm

The bus fare is Rs 28 for a journey of about 24 km.

Sometimes direct Nandi Hills buses were operated from Bangalore.
It came to know that there is no regular service.

At Majestic Bus Stand, Bangalore, buses to Andhra Pradesh depart from Terminal 3. Get buses to Chikkaballapur. This terminal is opposite the metro station

There is a trekking path from Sultanpet village to Nandi Hills. It can also be tried. Many ancient structures can be seen on the way.

Stay here for one night and enjoy the snow and cold and watch the beautiful sunset and sunrise, there is a wonderful hotel of KSTDC inside the park, rooms are available from Rs.2200 to Rs.8000. You only need to stay there for a day to enjoy the sights better than visiting in the morning.

Entry to Nandi Hills Park is from 6 am to 5 pm. As such, tickets are not given to those who come alone. Because of the safety issue. When I asked, they said that they will not ALLOW if I am alone.. They did not tell me the reason.

Attractions
Tipu's Summer Lodge, Nehru's Holiday Home, Amrita Sarovaram Pond, Sri Yoga Nandeeswara Temple, Tipu Drop and Valley Viewpoints are the major attractions in Nandi Hills.
