Few weeks ago I decided to play this extremely short visual novel-style game on Steam called The Night Fisherman by Far Few Giants.

At first, I was very drawn to the visuals of this game. However I start to realize that the 'feel' and gameplay style is not my most favourite thing in the world. I found the camera-switching mechanic annoying and it sort of ruined the storytelling and flow for me. However, the story was really intense which definitely affected how I made some choices. It really made me think and also ponder on historical and existing broader social issues in question. In other words, The Night Fisherman would definitely be considered one of those 'political' games which might throw off some folks from playing it, and I understand, so I'm just letting you know in advance!

I'll have to check out FFG's other games in the future and hopefully get a better sense of other themes presented in them and also see if they offer up different styles in terms of gameplay and design!
