The Afikra Youth Summit is a unique opportunity for students and educators to connect with peers and industry leaders shaping the future of the Arab world. This year's theme, "Shaped by the Algorithm," featured four engaging panel discussions on the future of journalism, pop music, startups and economics, and politics in the Arab World.

Each panel was moderated by our talented student moderators and Global Connect alumni: Ghiya Bsat, Cherry Butler-Bowdon, Falasteen Mansour, Lama Diriyeh, Sophia Griffith, Yamam Saleh, Dana AbdulMalak, and Nazokat Makhmudova.

Panelists included Anthony Semaan, Anwar Aridi, Danny Hajjar, Hafsa Halawa, Laila Mokhiber, Micha Tobia, Nour Malas, and Sarah AlSaleh, drawing from their extensive experience at renowned organizations such as The Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy, Mashallah News, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Beirut Jam Sessions, The World Bank, Outliers Venture Capital, and UNRWA USA.
