White House command unit arrives in France before President Biden | D-Day 80th Anniversary 🇺🇸 🇫🇷

Watch two White House Communications Agency vehicles arriving by C-17 Globemaster in Normandy, France, ahead of President Biden's attendance at D-Day 80th Anniversary events.

The first vehicle is a Chevrolet Suburban with the codename 'Watchtower'. The second is a Ford F350 pickup mixed with an E350 'Ecoline' van known as 'Roadrunner'. Both are used by the White House Communications Agency in handling signals, command, and communications of the US President's motorcade, along with the US Secret Service, White House Military Office, and other agencies. One of the Boeing C17 Globemaster IIIs, with the US Air Force in Charleston, gave us a nice wing wave on taking off.

This anniversary of D-Day marks 80 years since allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to liberate France and the rest of Europe from the Nazis in World War II. The event commemorates the allied invasion and thanks the veterans who took part, while also remembering the thousands who perished on June 6th, 1944.
