How to use Adobe Animate 2024 [Interface and Tools]

Frequent questions:

Is Adobe Animate available for phones?
- No.

Are there any alternatives apps for phone or pc?
- For phone you can use any drawing program, but you'll need an video editing program with layers included, so you can do tweening/cut out animation with it. Keep in mind that you cannot use the puppets from Adobe Animate/Flash in any other random program.

For pc, there are not so many free alternatives for a similar program. FLA files can only be used in Adobe Flash or Adobe Animate. (Keep in mind that some files from Flash would not work for Adobe Animate and vice versa.) You can try the free trial, if Adobe Animate isn't for you then you can try Toon Boom which is more advanced, similar, and cheap (student license and activate the monthly payment) if you're looking for joining the Animation industry, please learn and use the program. Most animation companies are switching to Toon Boom.

(I personally don't recommend downloading this program on Youtube since most of them contain potential viruses that can damage your pc.)

Do you need a drawing tablet for this program?
- No. You don't need it, I use my tablet when I'm making sketches or Storyboards. Once I get into the animation part I use my mouse. Using drawing tablets is optional, if you want a drawing tablet for your pc I recommend Wacom, they are cheap and really good if you're a beginner.
