Continuing from the previous video, we see that the access to the fire escape from the communal kitchen has been completely sealed over. This means that if the resident of the room happens to lock his/her/their door, no one on the floor will be able to get out the fire escape if they need to.

This hazard has been noticed by the appropriate authorities. However, at the time of this writing (see the publishing date of this video) there are no other residents on that floor, all other rooms having been issued a "repair/vacate" order due to lack of exactly that sort of egress.

Since that order was issued, however, building management installed doors between all the rooms, theoretically converting four individual units into one apartment. But this was done without the appropriate paperwork, inspections, and approval of the appropriate city and state authorities. So when two of those rooms were rented out to new tenants, and the appropriate agencies were informed, those rooms were re-vacated.

Also in this video, you can see that the residents of the third floor attempted to maintain a shred of dignity by hanging a curtain where the kitchen door used to be (See the previous video for the details regarding that bit of news).
