Ixia viridiflora, the Turquoise Ixia for the stunning colour of its flowers, is also called Green Ixia and indeed its scientific epithet "viridiflora" mens "green-flowered". Native to South Africa, this species has become quite rare in the wild due to habitat degradation, but luckily, thanks to its beauty, has been propagated in captivity and has become recently more available than in the past, even if it is still definitely not a common plant, especially in the UK, where I live.
