KITS 105.3 FM (Live 105) free show

I fIlmed this show with Sony HandyCam CCD-F70 8mm camcorder (mono mic)...I still have the case for the 8mm master, but can't find the tape (may have sent it off for somebody to copy it, and not had it returned).... but luckily I made a safety copy on VHS.

This is a brand new digitization of version 1, without the hiccups present the first time I shared with lightfromadeadstar.org, probably due to my balky PC I was using before switching to Macs. This also preserves all the original title graphics, done with my HandyCam, a feature which I don't think survived into subsequent models of Sony camcorders.

I've also included some post-show bonus-footage of my walking out of Union Square to head back onto BART. All in all, a delicious slice of history of San Francisco in Spring 1992, before Union Square was redone.

Notes, feel free anything else you observe in the comments!

8:38 Miki makes fun of one of the crowd surfers by saying "You look like you're having fun with me!", and mimicking his flailing-about.

14:08 Miki comments that there are people getting squashed and telling people to take one step back. The crowd just laughs at her. She replies, "Don't ignore me, just do it!".

15:08 none other than the MTV VJ Kennedy (or an clone of her!) makes an appearance on stage during 'For Love' taking a few pictures, but looks a bit perplexed, as Lush doesn't seem to be typical MTV fare, and walks off for a while. At that point, you can also see the cameraman for version 2.

26:51 Miki (to somebody in the crowd): "How are you doing? That was you dancing. That's OK...I thought dancing was done with partners..." Chris then plays a funky-type beat to 'commemorate' it.

31:00 Miki hands her water bottle to somebody in the crowd wanting to drink it, and then comments, "You don't know where that thing has been!"

36:35 Miki: "I look so cool today, don't you think?". A few seconds later, she follows up with the catchphrase of the early 90s..."NOT!"

40:06 Steve Masters thanks the band and all the corporate sponsors who helped to put this one: Miller Genuine Draft, Snapple Natural Beverages, Quaker State Oil, and the Guitar Center, and introduces the band back...however, it takes a couple of minutes for them to come back on, so to save tape, I pause it here.

41:35 Miki whines, "How was lunch? Two mouthfuls does not count as lunch."

50:53 Appendix title graphics: "Who (the fuck) goes to see these hopelessly insignificant 'ambient noise' bands? (Me, for one!). " I was brutally prescient, despite their most herculean efforts touring the US, including three in 1996, which pretty much decimated the group, the bulk of America remained mostly immune to their charms.
