I started off the run by restarting the map vs Crash so that she immediately spawns into the arena instead of at 12 seconds (like she otherwise would,) making it faster to complete the first map.
The command is: map_restart "0"
I used this method of force spawning the BOTs many times throughout the run so that I can get to fragging faster.
Against Ranger on the 2nd map I respawned until I got the optimal starting position. I did this on most other maps, as well.
I did something similar for "DM18: Space Chamber" to start the map off by getting a spawn telefrag.

I turned off the BOTs' chatting, so that they don't idle around wasting time.

I used 800 DPI with this in-game sensitivity without mouse acceleration:

I used this FOV:

with this Zoom FOV:

Had the FPS and the Timer displayed during the run.

Used the Speedrun.com approved

for consistent max jump height,
and so I also needed to use:

so that the game wasn't stuttering.

Had to use these commands for the proper in-game resolution (which also makes cinematic cutscenes be a black screen for some reason.)

I used an easier to see model for the enemies.

I used low graphical settings to make it more optimal for better visuals.

I made the teleporters see-through with this command:

Turned off the smoke trail from Rockets.

I made the LG beam not be delayed.

Due to me playing on the Vanilla 1.32 Quake III Arena version (as I bought it on Steam) there is no way to turn off the screen shake when getting hit - it would require the OSP mod.
