Commercial Shims are fantastic if you just want to escape a set of chained cuffs.

The real fun happens with hinged and the scary restricted model, the rigid handcuff.

The most famous/common model around is the TCH 840. This model is favoured by UK law enforcement thanks to its features and functionality.

This is my tool I utilise to shim out of rigid handcuffs and, it helped me win the handcuff escape competition hosted by UKEA & DRM last year.

Shimming will only work on single locked handcuffs
