Session: Scaling up Solutions for Crisis Response: The Power of Data

This session aims to discuss using digital technologies and data in responding to crises such as conflicts. We will provide insights into best practices for building digital resilience and how data can drive development outcomes. Attendees will learn how to scale up locally grown solutions to support governments, the private sector, and, indirectly, farmers. We will present case studies, such as the Africa Fertilizer Watch Dashboard, a valuable tool developed in close collaboration with partners in multiple African countries, for monitoring how crises like the Ukraine war have affected food security in sub-Saharan Africa. By the end of the session, attendees will better understand how digital technologies and data can be leveraged to address crises and support sustainable development.
