LOCATION: I-10 Eastbound at Lomaland Dr.
AREA/CITY: El Paso, Texas
DETAILS:

El Paso Fire Department responded to I-10 eastbound near the Lomaland Dr. offramp after reports a serious semi-truck rear-end crash into several vehicles.
9 People were reported with injuries. One person suffered serious injuries, 5 others suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. 3 others were evaluated at the scene but refused transportation to the hospital.
 The preliminary reports indicate the semi-truck driver did not stopped on time after traffic slowed down and rear-ended several vehicles. It’s unknow what cause the driver to not stop on time.
The El Paso Police Special Traffic Investigators are now at the scene and started the investigation into the main caused of the crash.
This investigation is on-going and there a re no other details available at this time.
