2. Creating account

Step 1: Open Link: https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/trademar... on Internet Explorer
Step 2: Filling details and allotment of Proprietor code
Step 3: Registration of Digital Signature Certificates (DSC can be appended in Internet Explorer only)

Step 4: Entering User ID, Password, Email Id and phone number

3. Login to your account and filling all the details in the registration form

Step 1: Open Link: https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/trademar... on internet explorer
Step 2: Login through password or Digital Signature Certificate
Step 3: Click on tab on the left bearing name – New form filing
Step 4: Choose first option TM-A ( Full form Trademark Application)
Step 5: Select type of applicant ( Fee differs as per type of applicant)
Step 6: Enter Class

Step 7 : Fill all the details and attach documents (Logo and affidavit, if required)
Step 8: Preview, digitally sign and submit the application
Step 9: Logout

4. Making payment
Step 1: Open Link: https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/trademar... on Google Chrome
Step 2: Login your account with Password
Step 3: Click on the tab - Payments
Step 4: Select the application and make fee payment online
Step 5: Receipt will be generated for your records
Step 6: Application filing process complete
Step 7: Logout
Step 8: Check the status on the link: https://ipindiaonline.gov.in/eregiste... (Click Trade Mark Application/Registered Mark Tab and enter application number mentioned in the receipt. Keep checking the status regularly.)

5. Time lines (Best Scenario)

Process Step 1: Examination of application - 1 – 3 month (Nothing mentioned in the act about this timeline. It may take more time also)
Process Step 2: Publication in trademark Journal – 4 months (as per the act)
Process Step 3: Issuance of Trademark registration certificate
Process Step 4: Renewal after 10 years

Total Time (best scenario) – 6-7 months
