The inventor of the term "sack". Deacon Jones was one of the greatest pass rushers in NFL history, using the head slap to great effect and compiled 173.5 unofficial sacks. Member of the "Fearsome Foursome" defensive line with the Rams. Jones was 8x Pro Bowler and a 5x First Team All Pro. Also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and NFL 100 All Time Team.
