[TAS] Sunset Overdrive -

Описание к видео [TAS] Sunset Overdrive -

Hello everyone, I started making this TAS on May 28th, so this run took 3 months, and 3 weeks (+6 days) to finish and I am very happy that this is finally done.

I originally thought when TASing the map that I'd only do it once, but turns out that I did it again. After I finished improving the run, I thought of something extreme, and that was to noseboost the whole map. So I told Lambda on discord at the beginning that I was going to attempt it, and talked a little bit about it in the Community-Maps discussion channel and people were hyped about it. I decided not to give out any more updates to it so that the whole thing would be a big surprise to the community, and some have probably forgotten about the TAS until now obviously.

I will have to say that the ending wasn't as simple as I thought, I expected a simple bounce flying towards the room with the finish, but even with near 1000 speed, it didn't work. I've attempted different ideas from taking a different finish, using a nosebug on the ramp with a pole bounce into another bounce, while Bevel tried his ideas to get to the finish as fast as possible but non of them were actually faster than this, I had the idea to just release the TAS with a time of 2:56 but Bevel (Exlpt) said in one of his TAS videos: "Never Settle for less". So I decided to continue optimizing the finish until I got below 2:55.88 which lead to 10m 10s saved against the previous TAS.

Song: CatPop (https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/list...) (Did my best to find some fitting music)

I do wanna thank these people for helping out with the TAS as well:

SkyCrafter - CP6 (1:50)
Molosii - CP12 (2:22)
StuntLover - CP14 (2:40)
Exlpt - Assistance with getting CP16

TAS Tool: https://donadigo.com/tminterface/

When I finished the TAS I asked SkyCrafter to record it but unfortunately he was way too busy, so I went around asking if anyone could record, threadd offered but I noticed before I searched for anyone else he had a windows watermark, and I didn't quite like it, and at the end CrizpyCheese tried recording for me and the video was actually pretty smooth. There is only a couple of things in the video that I would have changed, like what the intro text says, and lastly the profile used. But other than those, the run looks beautiful, so Shoutout to CrizpyCheese for being able to record the run!

(All Force-Cameras have been removed from the map for viewing pleasure)
