SOMEONE SCREWED UP! This Ford Mustang 5.0 Coyote Engine WAS Nice. Full Teardown Reveals $$$ BLUNDER

Today's teardown is a 5.0L Gen1 Coyote V8 Engine from a 2011-2014 Ford Mustang GT. This 420hp, 390lbft of torque V8 is a core return from a local salvage yard. I don't always get details on these engines but I was told this was from a 2013 with 126k miles however many date codes inside say otherwise so I'm not sure that info is reliable. Being it was a core, I didn't get a full story with what happened to it. I don't buy a ton of coyote core engines because they are pricey and often hurt so bad there's no money to be made parting them out. Only the right set of circumstances make buying a Gen1 coyote a sensible endeavor. Overall, I quite like the gen1 and gen2 coyote engines and I think with average or better care they can last quite a while.

Thanks to ‪@TheMeganBerg‬ for the cameo 🤣

Every week you can find a new engine teardown on this channel, sometimes more often! With over 3 years worth of weekly teardowns, there's a good chance I've done the engine you are requesting. Here are a few of my favorites:

Why am I doing this? My name is Eric and I own and run Importapart, a full service auto recycling business. Part of our model includes buying and dismantling blown up, core and bad engines to salvage the good parts and recycle the rest. We do not rebuild engines, merely supply parts to those who do.

I really. hope you enjoyed this teardown. As always I love all of the comments, feedback and even the criticism. Catch you on the next one!
