1. How do I know whether a cone set is damaged in a motorcycle?
-a) When you hit any bump, you will hear a clunk sound near handle stem. That indicates a bad cone.

b) If the bearings are breaking up, you will feel and hear bits of steel crunching when you turn the bars - if this is the case, get it fixed & don’t ride the bike again until it is sorted out. This might be water causing the noise, but sooner or later those water droplets WILL damage the hard steel bearing faces.

c) If the bike has done a high mileage, or been stood for many years, there may be wear causing indentations in the bearings - this can cause the steering to want to “snap” to a particular angle

d) When you took a small corner, you will feel your handle became tightern and authomatically push to center area.
e) There are a lock sign when the handle in center position.
f) Sometimes you will feel the handle too loose.
