247 volunteers were honoured at the MSF Volunteer Awards ceremony on 16 October 2015. Among them were 7 Outstanding volunteers who were chosen for their exceptional contributions and dedication in serving the community. They are:

• Mr Ashraf Koh & Mdm Asiah Binte Mohamed Salleh – Foster parents to a total of six children over the last 11 years, including a child with Down Syndrome

• Mr Tan Thian Huat & Madam Mary Chan – Foster parents to David (not his real name), who was diagnosed with neuromuscular scoliosis in 2014 and passed away in April 2015, at age 13, due to complications from a major surgery.

• Mr Cyril Chua Yeow Hooi – Chairman of the Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre Community Services, which expanded its suite of programmes and facilities for the disadvantaged under his leadership

• Professor Ho Lai Yun – Pediatrician and active advocate of the the Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO) sector. Chairman of the VWOs-Charities Capability Fund Evaluation Panel.

• Mr Noel Hon – Chairman of ComCare Enterprise Fund, who is committed to helping the disadvantaged find meaning in life through employment and participation in the society.

• Professor Lim Pin – Chairman of the board of directors at the Special Needs Trust Company, who has steered the company into the role of a trust and care manager.

• Mr Gerard Nonis & Mdm Susanna Daniels – Advocates of the fostering service who have fostered five children for the last 14 years.
