A total of six members of Bharatiya Janata Party of 37 Tyui A/C of Wokha Unit extended their resignation on January 20. In a resignation letter to the President of BJP Wokha Unit, the members stated that there is a huge wave for a change of leadership pertaining to democratic representation from 37 Tyui A/C to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The members stated that the 37 Tyui A/C electorate are of the strong conviction that fifteen years of representation by the same person is enough to recognize one's ability of representation. This can be termed as a major blow to Bharatiya Janata Party, just days ahead of Nagaland election. All the outgoing BJP workers in the resignation letter have expressed bitterness against their leader and representative Y Patton without naming him directly
