Hunter was an American crime drama television series that ran on NBC from 1984 to 1991. It starred Fred Dryer as Sgt. Rick Hunter and Stepfanie Kramer as Sgt. Dee Dee McCall, two homicide detectives who often bend the rules to catch criminals in Los Angeles. The show was created by Frank Lupo and produced by Stephen J. Cannell.

Hunter was known for its action-packed scenes, witty dialogue, and chemistry between the main characters. It was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards and won a Young Artist Award in 19881. The show also spawned a revival series in 2003 and several TV movies.

Some of the co-stars of Hunter included Charles Hallahan, John Amos, Bruce Davison, Darlanne Fluegel, Lauren Lane, and James Whitmore Jr.
