Drawing a fox adventurer character with Inkscape - a fast time-lapse illustration

In this video you can follow my process of drawing a fantasy FOX ADVENTURER with Inkscape!
Meet Thomas Bushdweller, a young and not-so-brave fox adventurer I created for the Character Design Challenge this month.

Here are the steps I took (so you understand better what is happening in this fast video)
Draw the basic shapes of the fox with the Pen tool
Create a fox themed sword and simple pouch and add them to the character
Use the gradient tool to create depth and basic shading on the fox
Add highlights to the character, reflecting the light of the torch
Finally add a dark background to make the colors and lights more visible and add contrast to the illustration
