My take:
The Super Bass (formerly Bassist) is Keeley's dedicated small box bass compressor. I found it to be very powerful for rounding out and shaping bass tone, and especially great for smoothing out dynamics and adding punch. The gain control is particularly powerful, with TONS of available gain on tap. Its controls are simple enough for anyone to understand, and the results (especially on subtle / medium settings) are exactly what I was after! This one is going on the bass pedalboard and staying there for the forseeable future. Check it out!
