Chordplay - Reggae Guitar Chords

Описание к видео Chordplay - Reggae Guitar Chords

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with Reggae Guitar Chords.
Reggae music first appeared in the late 1960s and was popularized by artists such as Bob Marley & the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, and many more.

The explosion of interest in reggae music in the 1970s is noteworthy and noticeable, as groups and artists all over the world became fascinated with the intense rhythmic pulsing, loose feel and groove, and machine-like mixture of the instrumentation and parts. In some ways, reggae guitar is similar to funk guitar, as the guitarist's role in reggae guitar music is primarily rhythmic and chord-based, instead of the typical melodic/soloing side of guitar playing.

To play reggae music authentically, you have to have a firm grip on partial chords, triads, inversions, chord progressions, and mapping your ideas all over the neck - which is exactly what this lesson focuses on and what you'll gain from this lesson.

While we're not learning songs or riffs in this episode, the information and fretboard awareness you'll gain, not to mention getting your hands dirty with a semester-worth of chord construction, progressions, and inversions to tackle - there's a lot hiding in this seemingly innocent lesson, so take your time as you'll see there's a lot to work on and absorb here.
