The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill, 2019

The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill, 2019 provides for the regulation of use of DNA technology for establishing the identity of certain persons. The same Bill had been previously introduced in Lok Sabha in August 2018, but lapsed. In October 2019, the Bill was referred to the Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change (Chair: Mr. Jairam Ramesh) which submitted its report in February, 2021.
