S.I.S.R., and St. Vincent College, Pune, have chosen the topic -their 'What importance does my Religion give to the Earth or the Environment?' - for their annual Zoom Inter-Faith Dialogue Seminar. Our Speaker, Dr. Sunitha Jain, has been a Guest faculty member at the University of Madras since 2011. She has participated in various national seminars and given religious discourses in the Jain community for every 'Paryushan Parva' for over 15 years. She now works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Jainology, at the SSS Shasun College for Women, Chennai. Jainism holds that all creation is alive, the manifestation of living souls, and must be respected. All are called to practice Ahimsa, by controlling one's thoughts and actions. Our aim should be 'use the minimum necessary'!
