The Hero's Journey is the Archetypal Story that we all share, since it is our story the human story. Described by Joseph Campbell in his book "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" The 22 stages of the adventure correspond to the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot and can illuminate the meanings and order of the cards in new ways.

The Hero's Journey is also the perfect design of a ritual, the stages illustrate the process of the voyage inward to gain the initiation and boo, and then the return to rejuvenate our waking life.
