360 Music Video with Spatialized Audio

SoLaTiMusic is a band from Hungary founded by Árpád Oláh Tzumo one of the most talented Hungarian jazz-piano players. SoLaTi goes beyond borders when it comes to musical expression. They mix very modern sounds and beats with jazz in their songs. The high-level instrumentality and vocals are in focus while they perform live. Kriszta Pocsai, who is the singer and also co-creates the songs with Tzumo, is among the greatest jazz-singers of Hungary.

This is an acoustic cover version of the song for piano, double bass, drums and vocal.

music by Árpád Oláh Tzumo
lyrics by Kriszta Pocsai
covered by Kriszta Pocsai, Árpád Oláh Tzumo, Tibor Fonay, Ambrus Richter

The song was chosen for reinterpretation at the 3. Phonic Chat Workshop. The idea is that an original song of the participants is chosen and the musicians who meet at this cast for the first time rearrange it during a live session. The audience can be a part of the production process online.
About the musicians:

Kriszta Pocsai:

According to many people’s opinion Christina Pocsai has the most beautifully singing Hungarian singer. She works together with the extremely talented Árpád Oláh Tzumo in the formation SoLaTiMusic. They brought their own song to rearrange it at our 3. Phonic Chat Workshop. Christa Pocsai studied at the jazz singing faculty of the Ferenc Liszt Music Art College and she has worked together with such legendary partners like Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Rudolf Tomsits. We could hear her sing with Balázs Bágyi, György Orbán, András Lakatos, Viktor Tóth, Árpád Tzumo. She works with SoLaTiMusic and with her own quartet now.
She also works as a logopedist, singing teacher and sound therapist.
She has an excellent personality, and I’m honoured to get to know her and work together!

Árpád Oláh Tzumo:

Árpád Oláh Tzumo is one of the few Hungarian jazz artist who can tell about himself that he had the chance to study at Berklee and the Thelonious Monk Institute in Los Angeles. He had the opportunity to study from such jazz giants like Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter or Terence Blanchard. The jazz-pianist moved back to Hungary in 2008 and won numerous international awards.
He plays with his own band SoLaTiMusic, and in a trio with Ferenc Németh and Greg Tarty.
We were honored to have him at the Phonic Chat Workshop.

Tibor Fonay:

Tibor Fonay studied at the Ferenc Liszt Hungarian Music Academy. He is an outstanding contrabass and bass player, he regularly works together with Péter Sárik, Bálint Gyémánt, Károly Binder. He has also won the award of the JazzMa professional portal and the Prima Primissima Junior Award. He was interested in music from an early age and experimented with several genres from punk rock to funk. His philosophy is that you can get to know your instrument by playing in multiple styles and genres. He likes to play with several different formations from different genres.
He plays the contrabass at this session.

Ambrus Richter:

Ambrus Richter is from the very young generation of the Hungarian jazz scene. We can see him play with several prestigious formations though he is still learning jazz-drum playing. He started his studies in 2014.
His inspirations are:

Led Zeppelin, a Doors, Frank Zappa and the Hungarian folk music, classical music and Hungarian bands like Tamás Cseh, Balaton, Kontroll Csoport, A. E. Bizottság.
Then he met with the jazz genre: John Coltrane Quartet Johnny Griffin, Michael Brecker, Brian Blade, Jeff Tain Watts, Joshua Redman, Kenny Garrett, Christian McBride, Joe Henderson, Dexter Gordon, Wayne Shorter, Kenny Kirkland, etc. And the Hungarian names like: Viktor Tóth Tercett, Dresch Quartet, Mihály Borbély, Gábor Gadó, Gábor Winand, János Ávéd, Elemér Balázs, Krisztián Oláh, György Orbán, Péter Rozsnyói, László Csízi, Dani Serei, Tamás Czirják, Attila Gyárfás, Kornél Fekete-Kovács, Dávid Hodek. He plays the drums in this rearrangement of Tell me.

Lyrics:
Tell me

verse 1.
Still longing for you, I really do
but there’s nothing I’d rather do
there were times I thought you want me too
can’t read the signs, I was so sure of you

bridge
Tell me that you feel no pressure
Tell me I could trust in you
I wanna be a little better
maybe it’ll help me through

interlude

ref.
I remember in September
when my love was new
hardly heard that (what) all my friends said
I got it bad for you
I remember in September
yes my love was new
now is summer, different color
and the sky is blue
