the last days of summer ✷ a pre-uni vlog

hello, maybe this will be a regular occurrence.
much of my week has been living under the shadow of apprehension. i'm going to be a senior in university at the start of the next week. i suppose i'm worried about getting burnt out again. perhaps i'm scared of underperforming at the end of this long, much enjoyed, journey in this chapter of my life.
maybe everyone lives in a state of apprehension about one thing or another in their life. maybe it's a side effect of growing up.
what i am certain of is that i'm encompassed by the feeling of wanting to document such a momentous time in my life (to the best of my abilities). there's more people seeing these little archives of my life, and i'm not as worried about it as i originally thought. i think it'll be good. someone gets to see the world as i see it, and that is a beautiful thing to behold.
if you're new here, i wonder if you know that in my culture, we knock on other people's doors and stating: "tao po!" the statement itself has a dichotomous meaning. a statement saying, "i am human" ("tao po!") and a question asking if there's someone home ("tao po?"). i suppose, just like those strangers, i am knocking into your life with these little fragments of mine, and i say the same phrase to you.
i'd like to think of it this way: i am human, looking for the humanity in you.
maybe i'll hear from you soon. please know, i love you. i'm glad you exist.
