Demascus is a well-rounded student that is passionate about becoming a leader within his community. He is currently serving as the battalion commander of the mighty duck battalion of JROTC , sergeant at arms for the SGA, co-captain and linebacker for the Douglass football team and is in the top 15 of his graduating class. Damascus also maintains a job in retail outside of school savings towards goals for driving school and a car. Throughout his academic career, he has won two certificates of appreciation for JROTC, maintained perfect attendance for 3 years, completed a color guard at the BCPS commisioner's board and selected to lay the reef for the Baltimore veteran's day parade alongside the mayor. He was recently selected to served as the chief of staff for the Baltimore City JROTC Joint Executive Working Group. After high school, Mr. Murray is planning to major in criminal justice and later entering into homeland security for the armed forces.
