NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System) is a medium-range air defense system developed jointly by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace and the American company Raytheon. It uses the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile to provide defense against a wide range of aerial threats, including aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles. NASAMS is highly mobile and can be rapidly deployed to protect critical assets, such as military bases, airports, and government buildings. It has been widely exported and is currently in service with several countries, including Norway, the United States, Spain, and the Netherlands.
