The cheapest time to visit is from mid-January to February. You can visit #nyc all year round because it is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world, so you will have a great time regardless of the season. The best time to visit is April to June or November and December if you love Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Do have in mind that it is crowded during that time of the year. If it is your first time in the city I recommend sticking with spring. The weather is pleasant and there are less tourists so you can really enjoy the city.
