038 Feeling a little stuck in your art practice? Yea, me too. I recently found a new-ish YT channel which kind of lit a fire. The creator, a former NH gal named Amanda Close, took us on a number of tours through her sketchbooks, which I found fascinating. They were GORgeous! While I keep what I call sketchbooks, mine are not beautiful. They’re a dumping ground for art, journal entries, notes on videos watched, a few thumbnail sketches - mixed with rare and timid attempts to practice new techniques. Today we’ll take a look through 6 such books. I’ll even show you the scary stuff. Maybe together we can figure out a new direction we’ll all enjoy.

Please check out Amanda’s channel ‪@Wohlarts‬. She’s a wonderful painter using gouache - which looks like my next favorite supply (I've three boxes in my stash and have never even cracked the seal.) Her work is colorful, loose, and abstract - and she makes it look like falling off a log. That’s NH for wicked easy.
