India Canada Row LIVE: Trudeau Faces Heat Over Nijjar Allegations | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Amid an escalating diplomatic row between India and Canada, the US and UK have urged New Delhi to "cooperate" with Ottawa's legal process. This comes after Canada accused Indian diplomats, including the Indian High Commissioner, of carrying out "criminal" activities in Canada. The Trudeau government claims to have evidence against Indian diplomats in the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India, however, has firmly denied these allegations. In retaliation, India expelled six senior Canadian diplomats and recalled six of its own. Following this, Canada's Foreign Minister Melanie Joly sought diplomatic support from the country's Five Eyes intelligence allies: the US, New Zealand, the UK, and Australia. The US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller has advised India to "cooperate" with Canada in its investigation, but at the same time, he said India continues to be "an incredibly strong partner of the United States."
