Something that I love to learn about, when talking Disneyland history, is what was there BEFORE? I love the Matterhorn, but I also want to know more about what was there before it was built. How did it look? How did it evolve? Was the Matterhorn their first choice? Well it turns out..it wasn't. In the 4 years before the Matterhorn was built, there was A LOT to learn about the site in which it sets. Before the Matterhorn, there was Holiday Hill...and lots more!

The story of Holiday Hill is a fun little piece of Disneyland history, and involves some famous Disney legends such as Walt Disney himself, Bill Evans, and John Hench. AND the infamous Rock Candy Mountain. And did you know that main street vehicles used to drive all the way back there? These are just a few of the things you'll learn about in this video.
