DIY easy no kit fabric covered buttons tutorial - vintage style

Sharing how you can make vintage style fabric covered buttons including multilayer buttons without a button making kit.

All you need is some old buttons, old doilies, linen, or fabric plus some thread and a needle.

These vintage style fabric covered buttons are fabulous for embellishing your slow stitch projects including as closures on fabric books or pouches. I’ll be using some as embellishments on my Roxy’s journal of Stitchery trifold pouch as well as my Colour Inspirations journal.

Once you make some of these gorgeous buttons I’m sure you’ll want to make many more.
