Описание к видео Switzerland’s Fourth Language - Romansh

Did you know? Switzerland has four national languages: German, Italian, French and Romansh. DISCOVER the latter here, through a video specially created by Mario Pacchioli, our compatriot born in canton of Grisons.

Romansh has been recognized as a national language in Switzerland since 1938. It is a Rheto-Roman language, related to Ladin and Frioulan practiced in Italy. It is also the main language of 0.5% of the Swiss population.🇨🇭

Mario Pacchioli is a Swiss artist, born to a Rhaeto-Romanic mother and an Italian father. Together with the Swiss artist Laurent Brunetti, he forms the duo "Les Monsieur Monsieur". For almost 10 years the two artists have been representing Switzerland all over the world with their show in French "Pêcheurs de rêves". Nevertheless, Mario Pacchioli has always remained faithful to the Romansh language. His latest major work "REMAS - Romansh Poems for Song and Symphony Orchestra" testifies to his love for his mother tongue.
