It’s been 20 years after the nuclear war devastated the Earth. Survivors of Moscow withdrew to Moscow Metro and try to live as best as they can. Different factions rule on different parts of the Metro and there are fighting between factions. Fighting is not only threat in Metro, but mutated monsters also keep attacking humans, food, water and other resources are scarce. Surface is desolate wasteland where air and water is contaminated by radiation, but still some brave individuals go to find resources and travel to different areas.

New threat is rising called the Dark Ones and survivor named Artyom is caught in events that are much bigger than anyone can foresee. Elite Ranger called Hunter arrives at station where Artyom lives and before leaving to track the Dark Ones asks Artyom to go Polis, the “capital” of the Metro, if he’s not back soon and inform his superiors what has happened.

Metro 2033 is a first-person survival horror game based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novel with a same name. Originally Metro 2033 was released in 2010 for PC and Xbox 360. In 2014 remastered title Metro 2033 Redux was released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Metro 2033 Redux was also released for Nintendo Switch 2020.
