Ulgrax Raid Guide - Normal and Heroic Ulgrax the Devourer Nerub-ar Palace Boss Guide

Ulgrax Normal and Ulgrax Heroic guide! Ulgrax the Devourer is the first boss of the Nerub-ar Palace raid of The War Within. This Ulgrax guide will walk you through the important healer, tank and DPS raid mechanics you need to clear this Nerub-ar Palace raid boss.

You fight Ulgrax in two alternating phases. In Phase 1, tanks swap when the healing reduction from Brutal Crush becomes difficult to manage. Everyone needs to avoid the Stalker's Webbing swirls and steer clear of the Netting webs that spawn. Run green Digestive Acid ring debuffs over webs to help clear them. Have ranged players get into the Carnivorous Contest ring to help soak, and then fight against the pull to avoid being eaten by Ulgrax. You can stand in a web to be rooted if you need to but it shouldn't be necessary.

When the boss runs out of energy, get away from the middle. Avoid the large Juggarnaut Charge strafing runs across the boss room. Tanks can gather the adds and the raid needs to help CC and cleave them down. Pick up the bug bits from the floor and when the boss resurfaces, bring them to his front and use your extra action button to feed Ulgrax. When he's eaten enough, he returns to P1 and can be damaged once again.

On Heroic Ulgrax, it seems that the only changes in the journal and testing were damage numbers.
