🍒 This print sessions was a bit of an experiment: 1) Seeing if I could print opaque colors in one pass on a dark colored garment with water-based ink and 2) To see if I could create a gradient type print that ran vertical instead of horizontal across the garment. It... sort of worked! I didn't 100% get the effect that I wanted, but I'm happy with the results and they mostly sold out (there might be one or two left in my shop as of writing) so I'm going to say it was a success!
🍒 Some other printers have asked me why I don't use adhesive on my printing platen; it's because I don't need to in this case. I'm only printing single colors on a 1-color press so there's no need for the fabric to stay in the same position. I've done thousands of shirts this way and it never has any impact on my prints, so I'd rather not subject my studio mates to stinky spray adhesive that's not good to be breathing in without proper ventilation.
